Funny how "Gammas in movies" always seems to come up from time to time. We've discussed this subject many times starting on the old forum (still available for browsing). Have a look at:

But what is this???

Bart

It's a clip from the movie "Tres Hommes Abattre"

Had to snag this movie when I read this post... what a movie, in terms of aesthetics the perfect scenario for a Lancia Gamma, italian cool, clinical minute ambience and frigid characters entangled in weird dialogues.

Fast forward to bits featuring pans over the Gamma and low and behold the 'dog' they found.... I'll let the images speak for themselves  (nah: let me say this; what the FCUK!)

One nice touch is that one character approaches the Coup, opens the passenger side and with ease slips into the back seat (I venture 'they' thought the seat was just broken too) the camera again holds in front of the windscreen in a wide shot and he was sitting with his head BEHIND the saggy roof (goddam vinyl crap ceiling - thank goodness I got rid of that shite!)

And no, it's not seen to drive; they prolly towed it to the set Cheesy

However... the characters using the Coup are the two scruffians, the story's fall guys; perhaps it was decided they simply drive a piece of junk yet marvellous, in which case that was achieved perfectly, because the movie is really a visual masterpiece; not difficult to think it was picked for its purpose on purpose from a nearby scrapyard  Cool

I don't care what anyone says, there is no defending the vinyl ceiling, I said it before and I'll say it again now clearly evidenced; it was and is a crap half arsed solution concocted by a numbnut designer thus in charge who bought the wrong material willingly or not and then knowingly or not insisted to use it anyway, it's as simple as that!

I got rid of it in my first Coup and then I got rid of it again in my second.. The only remedy and the right remedy for an 'embarrassing', certainly annoying and obvious design flaw (and it's really fcuk ugly cheap vinyl).. I cannot really feel sorry for those of you who insist on keeping on saving it over and over and over.. really.. and it's not even an expensive solution, easy to replace once and for good! E basta!! Cheesy

Being 6'9 I did fancy Erik's Coupe. No liner, no roof either. In summer, that is!
Berlinas have more headroom.

I venture my perception; an S2 2000 dark blue w. beige interior (but anyones guess; I tried to google the vid otherwise but came up blank).. Still, ruddy hell, we got our model in a music vid w. a cool group (they back together, very nice album)... yeah! Cheesy

As fer your headlights; they need a clean? rewiring? some tips about the forum fer solution (myself I need to look into my driver side too, switch is dodgy and goes off, really annoying)
