Hi all,
Tony has sprung a leak!
It's only a perished petrol pipe that goes into the pump at the back but I wondered if you know what size pipe I need to get.
Also, it looks like quite a short piece but it goes up into some sort of schmushy putty. I imagine that when I clear the putty away I will find an O clip which will be holding the pipe into something ( the bottom of the tank?) but what is this putty as I'm sure I'll need to order some.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Kevin.

Kevin,
Pipes goes on to a spigot on the tank.
There is normally just a grommet in the boot floor, but I guess someone has added some sealant on our car.
You need to remove the boot carpet and back board to get at the tank. You'll then see the connection.

Hose size is fairly standard, can't remember exact size, but measure the old pipe or fuel pump spigot.

You may have to lift the tank to get the pipe off. Also fi tanks can suffer from
debris around the gauze filter. Make sure you replace with crush proof hose as
it can follow a tight curve between the tank and cross member.

Finally got a chance to have a look. Pipes came off but cannot get the new ones on. Looks like a total tank out job.

I couldn't get 10mm on so ordered 12mm (18mm outside) which was still a snug fit. Blew the cobwebs off tonight- has just been sitting for 2 months and someone tried to steal it a few weeks back.
